February 8 :: The governor's "invest in Michigan" philosophy is code for increasing spending. With an $800 million deficit, the governor failed to address both spending cuts and the call for structural reform. We can't spend money that we don't have. The state must get its own house in order before it can "invest", as the governor likes to call it.
