Michigan House Republican Leader Kevin Elsenheimer will send a strong message to President Barack Obama’s new auto czar that the domestic auto industry is worth preserving, and he’s driving all the way to the White House to join Speaker Andy Dillon, Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop and Senate Minority Leader Mike Prusi for a Wednesday morning meeting with officials from the Obama administration at the White House, congressional leaders and executives from General Motors Corp. and Chrysler LLC.  (2/24/2009)

Once a month, volunteers pick up the bulk food orders in Gaylord at 6 a.m., then return to the local church to sort and distribute the food packages to participant families by noon.  (6/17/2008)
