State Reps. Kevin Elsenheimer, left, and Wayne Schmidt, right, welcomed Antrim Probate Court Chief Judge Norman R. Hayes (center left) and 86th District Court Chief Judge Thomas J. Phillips (center right) on the House floor today for the State of the Judiciary address. The lawmakers, along with Sen. Jason Allen, invited the judges as guests for the speech, which is similar to the annual State of the State address given by the governor. The State of the Judiciary was given today by Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly during a joint session of the state House and Senate.
