Kevin Green
February 4, 2009
House Republican Whip Kevin Green this week announced seven of his colleagues will join him as assistant whips for the Republican caucus. Green has selected Reps. Dave Agema of Grandville; Gail Haines of Waterford; Jase Bolger of Marshall; Paul Opsommer of DeWitt; Jim Stamas of Midland; Goeff Hansen of Hart; and Darwin Booher of Evart. Each of the lawmakers will play an important role in the legislative process. As members of the leadership team, they will serve as liaisons with other caucus members in the development of good public policy. To do this, they will work in a bipartisan fashion to accomplish the policy objectives of their district and the state as a whole. "I'm very impressed with the leadership qualities of this group of people. Each person possesses a unique skill or experience that will greatly help our caucus," said Green, R-Wyoming. "They represent not just the best qualities found in the House of Representatives, but the best qualities of the people of Michigan as well."#####
