Local office adjusted for December holidays

Due to the Christmas and New Year's holiday, local "coffee hours" will be Jan 9. I'm looking forward to meeting with residents to discuss ideas and concerns. My schedule is:

  •   8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Senior Center in Kalkaska
  • 11 a.m. - noon at the Senior Center in Traverse City
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the Village of Kingsley Community Room in Kingsley
  •  5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Pie Company, located in Traverse City at 101 N. Park Street

No appointment is necessary, but please contact my office or check back here when a meeting date falls on a holiday or other conflict may require a change of time or location. Residents unable to meet during my scheduled office hours may contact my Lansing office toll-free at (800) REP-1046 or by emailing me at wayneschmidt@house.mi.gov.

Rep.Schmidt at the Northwestern Michigan Fair

I was happy to visit with friends and neighbors at the Northwestern Michigan Fair recently. The 4-H Livestock Auction is a great way to celebrate and support our area youths' accomplishments and it was my pleasure to participate again this year. See photo here

I support legislation to create a single, searchable state website so taxpayers can see how their money is spent, which will make the state more efficient by exposing waste, and I am proud to lead by example. Click here to see a detailed breakdown of my office expenses.
